Marjorie L. Powers, 81, of Long Beach, California, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the Norwalk Community Hospital in Norwalk, California.
Marjorie was born October 6, 1942 in Pioneer, Iowa, the daughter of Charles H. and Irene (Wood) Powers. She was raised and educated in Pioneer and graduated from Gilmore City High School in 1960. Marjorie lived all of her adult life in California where she raised her children and worked for a title company. Family was most important in Marjorie’s life, though she enjoyed reading, music, dancing and did a little traveling later in life.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters Sandra Kay Linn and Denise Dawn (Linn) Day, her son Mark Allan Linn, her grandchildren; Colby Day, Ian Day, Natasha Davis, Heather Dale, Brendan Bertolini and Cameron Bertolini, her great-grandchildren; Tinsley Davis, Camden Davis, Zeke Dale, Izzy Dale and Chloe Dale, her brother Charles Gordon Powers and her sister Donna (Powers) Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Phyllis (Powers) Baardson and Alberta (Powers) Nesvold and her brothers Albert Powers and Harold Powers.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 2nd with visitation after 9:30 a.m. at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. Burial will be Union Cemetery, Humboldt. www.masonlindhart.com
