EAST MOLINE-Funeral services for Marjorie Mae Rogiers, 90, of East Moline, IL, will be 11 am Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will 9:30-10:30 am Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 9 am. Mrs. Rogiers passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Kahl Home, Davenport, IA.
Marjorie Bowman was born October 3, 1932, in Morrison, IL, the daughter of John W. and Florence L. Whitemore Bowman. She married Donald Rogiers June 12, 1954, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, IL. He passed away July 30, 2009. "Nurse Marge" had worked at Moline Public Hospital, Lutheran Hospital, Moline, and retired from Illini Hospital, Silvis, IL. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary Post 246 Moline. She enjoyed the Chicago Cubs, family time and a good casino!
Survivors include her daughters, Dena (Rob) Pettifer, Andover, IL, and Linda (Bruce) West, East Moline; daughter-in-law, Melinda Rogiers, Tacoma, WA; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steven Rogiers; and brother, John (Elaine) Bowman.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
The family would like to thank the Kahl Home staff and Hospice Compassus for their excellent care.
