Joeanne Sawyer, a wonderful. Kind woman, passed away September 21, 2025 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She was born May 1, 1939 in San Luis Obispo, California, to Joe and Mary Stuart. Joeanne was raised in Moorpark, California with siblings Peggy, Bill, Fran and Karen. Joeanne married Edward Sawyer on August 13, 1955. She is survived by her husband Edward, children Cindy Abel (John), Peggy Lang (Michael), Lorrie Wiseman (Jeff), Teresa Mathis (Osi) and Edward Joseph. Sisters Peggy, Fran and Karen as well as 12 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill and son Tommy.

Joeanne and Ed moved to Oregon in 1969, building a home near Bonanza and raising their children. She worked as a cook for Klamath County Schools and North's Chuckwagon. Joeanne loved to be outside and was not afraid to get dirty, spending time taking care of her property and growing beautiful gardens. She also loved her hobbies like painting wood cutouts her husband made in his shop that they sold at craft markets. After retiring, they sold their home, bought an RV and spent several years traveling, where they would enjoy warmer climates. She loved seeing the country, always making new friends and buying T-shirts from places they visited, eventually settling in Quartsite, Arizona. She was known at the Arizona Sun RV park for her love and talent on karaoke night. As weather got warmer, they always headed home to Oregon to family.

Joeanne's favorite thing was her family, and she loved them all fiercely. She never forgot to send a card congratulating a milestone, wishing a happy birthday or Just sending love. She enjoyed cooking for family and she loved weddings, where she could be found on the dance floor and was always the life of the party!

Joeanne will be greatly missed by family and friends who were privileged to be part of her life, feel her warmth, kindness and so much love.
