Marjorie "Marge" Elaine Stevens
February 8, 1929 – September 3, 2025
Marjorie "Marge" Stevens, 96, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025.
Marge was born on February 8, 1929, in Iowa, and spent her early years in Milan, Missouri. She graduated from Milan High School before building a life centered on family, service, and kindness in the Kansas City area.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Marge is survived by her daughters, Diana Carleton and Lori Stanley; her sons, Michael and Paul Stevens; her grandson, Samual Stevens; her granddaughters, Dena DeForest, Erin Stanley, and Rachael Buffington; her great-grandchildren, Lindsey Hatfield, Coleman Hatfield, and William and Silas Stevens; and her great-great-granddaughters, Tatum and Spencer Ware. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur "Steve" Stevens.
Marge lived a full and giving life. She was a wonderful mother and a busy, caring person who gave freely of her time. She volunteered her sewing talents to create comfort items for breast cancer patients and devoted many hours to organizations providing food and clothing for those in need. She also loved to play games, and her joyful, competitive spirit made every gathering with family and friends more memorable.
Her legacy of love, service, and laughter will live on in all who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes, no memorial service will be held.
