Dearest Margie, You left me on my birthday, June 5. I always thought you'd be here forever. I miss you terribly. I will never, ever forget your kindness to me and Billy when we arrived in New York. You were the best friend anyone could ever have. I hope to see you again one day, God willing. Your loss put me into a tailspin. I could not believe you were no longer here. Much love, Richard

Margie and Wally were second parents to me. Margie always greeted me with a compliment, the biggest smile and tightest squeeze. We had so many inside jokes and silly expressions that I unconsciously still do and say today. I am forever grateful for your love and friendship Mama Williams!

Margie really saw me and poured so much love into me from the moment I stepped into her dance studio when I had just moved to Virginia. Margie Williams Studio, the faculty, and my dance peers were the people I spent countless of hours with through out my childhood and it became my second home. Going from school, straight to the studio, taking 3/4 classes in a night, doing homework in the backrooms in between classes, then going home to do it all over again day after day, week after week, year after year. The dance educators that had the biggest impact on me as an adolescent Rotita Cunningham, Shelly Isler, Fred Mayor, Danile Giesy, - were all educators that I had originally met in that space. And now, having the privilege of being a professional dancer in my adulthood, I owe so much to Margie - the space that she built, her fabulous spirit that continued to push me and care for me as I got older. Dance is so much of my identity and it has primarily been that way for most of my life. My love and joy for it has never ended and Margie had a large part in harvesting that.
Eternally grateful to have crossed paths with her in this life time. Thank you Margie for sharing your light, joy, and love of dance with me. xx Symone

I will miss Margie“s delightful, charming personality! When I think of Margie, I think of the laughter that emanated from the house next door to us whenever Margie, "Junie Boy," Esther and Carroll got together out back. There is no rival! I miss them all!
