Lundberg Funeral HomeMark Richard Albert, age 68, of Cannon Falls, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Cannon Falls with his family by his side.
Mark was born April 27, 1957, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Richard and Vivian Albert. He graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine, WI and went on to work a variety of jobs. On May 14, 1988, he married Darla Harvey and resided in Cannon Falls.
He enjoyed camping with his family, watching sports, especially the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings, tinkering with classic cars, and collecting Dept 56 villages (he and Darla owned over one hundred villages and put them on display every Christmas.) He lived for cold fall mornings so he could hunt ducks, pheasants, and grouse.
He is survived by his wife, Darla; his twin daughters, Kristie (Gary) Tipton and Amy (Joe) Kerstetter; his son, Zach; 2 grandchildren, Charlie and Peyton Tipton; his brothers, Eric (Janice) Albert and Todd (Amy) Albert; sister, Beth (Mike) Wolf; brothers-in-law, Kerry (Deb) Harvey and Kevin Johnson; sister-in-law, Danette Harvey (John Jax); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joy Albert-Gorr and Kay Albert; mother-in-law, Marlys Harvey; and sister-in-law, Debra Johnson.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Mill Street Tavern, 410 Mill Street West, Cannon Falls. There will be lunch served following the service.
Memorials may be given in Mark's memory to the Blooming Prairie Cancer Group.
