Mark Glen Anderson, 72, of Austin, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2025. He was born in Oakland, California, and spent his life doing things his way-usually with a quick remark, a strong opinion, and absolutely no hesitation in sharing either.

Mark was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia (Vickie) Anderson, and his parents, Dale and Emadell (Amy) Anderson, all of whom no doubt welcomed him with open arms.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Anderson and her husband Fernando Flores, and April Harris; his grandchildren, Lauren Mink, Reagan Harris, Brooklynn Harris, Isla Flores, and Max Flores; his great-granddaughter, Aulani Mink; and his brothers, Chris, Shawn, and Erik Anderson.

Mark was quick-witted, stubborn as all hell, and unapologetically himself. But beneath the sarcasm was a man who loved his family fiercely and without condition. He was the best father and Papa anyone could ask for-the one who always answered the phone, always showed up, and always had advice, whether you asked for it or not. His children and grandchildren knew they could count on him for honesty, comfort, protection, and unwavering loyalty.

Mark loved his family easily and completely, and he was deeply loved in return. His humor, strong will, and the space he filled in the lives of those who loved him will be missed beyond measure, but his voice, lessons, and love will live on in all who were lucky enough to call him Dad, Papa, brother, or friend
