Mark Paul Arrow, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Denise Arrow; son of the late Paul and Catherine Arrow; father of Kevin (Abbey) Arrow and Kimberly Arrow; brother of Kathryn (Dick) Hahn and Alan (the late Susan) Arrow; uncle of Mark Hahn, Rachel Arrow, and the late Doug Arrow; son-in-law of Roger and Joyce Trost.


Mark proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1975 to 1978. During his service he was stationed in Seoul, South Korea in the Eighth Army. While serving, he also worked as a Dental Assistant receiving numerous commendations from dental officers for dedication to his work. Following his honorable military service, Mark turned his love of cars into a career as an auto mechanic from 1978 to 1987, working with Manchester Leasing and other auto service dealers. In 1987, he began his distinguished career with the Clayton Police Department where he served for 25 years.


During his tenure, Mark held numerous roles including Patrol Officer, Armorer, Detective, Fire Investigator, and member of the St. Louis Major Case Squad. He also served as Lead Firearms Instructor for the St. Louis County Municipal Police Academy where he developed training programs and certified more than 3,500 cadets and officers annually. Among his many shooting honors, he was recognized as the top shooter at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers, won the highest individual award in US marksmanship twice, was a multiple time National Shooting Champion, and was a six-time recipient of the President's 100 Badge.


Beyond his career, Mark enjoyed shooting, hunting, fishing, gunsmithing, playing guitar, making guitar pedals, golfing, playing trivia, motorcycle riding, watching television with the cats, and fixing or building anything under the sun. He cherished spending time with his family, especially traveling and swing dancing with his wife, and sharing stories with those he loved. Mark was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
