Mark Austin
ROOSEVELT- Mark David Austin, born May 7, 1966 to LaVee and Clark Austin in Nephi, Utah tragically passed away in an ATV accident on March 15, 2025.
As a kid, Mark loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and dirt bikes. He was always found causing trouble with his cousin, Marlow Yates, and friends, Merrill Lund and Rod Wankier.
He married the love of his life, Angela Nielson on September 12, 1986. They participated in the Nephi Nebo Posse and was president in 1994. They were active members until 1999.
In November 1994, they welcomed their first daughter, Amaysa D Austin; and later in February 1997, welcomed their second daughter, Marrissa D Austin. They were the light of his life and he supported them in all things. He taught them to hunt, and shoot guns and bows. He took every opportunity to shoot with his girls and there was always a wager for bragging rights. He never missed a dance competition or high school rodeo.
He was most excited to be a grandpa and was honored with the nickname "Grandpa Marker."
He enjoyed reading and playing with Riley. He was very crafty with wood projects and made several hat racks, shelves, wishing wells, and cornhole boards. He loved to help anyone he could, whether it was cows or a rescue mission as long as it involved other people's beer.
He is survived by his wife, Angela of Roosevelt; daughters, Amaysa and Marrissa of Lawrence; his favorite tiny human, Riley Fausett; sisters, Pam (Ed) Park of Nephi and Tami (Aaron) Austin of Las Vegas; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark and LaVee Austin; and friend, Merrill Lund.
Mark's family will commemorate his life with a visitation at Miller's Landing (123 North Main Street) in Huntington, Utah from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday, March 21, 2025 and at the Juab County Multi-Purpose Building, located at 36 South 400 West in Nephi, Utah on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Huntington and Price where friends are welcome to share memories of Mark online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
