It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Mark J. Baniukiewicz, 64, of Worcester, on Monday, September 15, 2025, after one heck of a ride!
Born in Worcester, on July 12, 1961, Mark was the son of the late Theodore and Mary (Pats) Baniukiewicz.
Mark was a loving father, friend and above all else the best DZIADZIA around. Mark lived to spend time with his 6 beautiful grandchildren, Nicholas, Haylee, Michael, Lorenzo, Harper and his sidekick Theodore. He thoroughly enjoyed buying them candy and letting them run wild. His grandchildren were the light of his life and his reason to live. The word NO did not exist when it came to DZIADZIA and his grandkids.
Though Mark is no longer with us, he will be forever missed, and we will carry him with us in all that we do.
Mark is survived not only by the grandchildren he adored so much, but also by his loving son Nicholas and his wife Loryn of Auburn, and his son Mark of Worcester. Mark leaves behind his cherished sibling, Ted and his wife Linda of Worcester and his nieces Marycatherine and Katelyn, both of Worcester. In addition to his dear parents, Mark was predeceased by his favorite cousins Susan and MaryAnn and his lifelong friends Dave and Clumpy.
Mark was a lifelong resident of Worcester and was very proud of growing up on Grafton Hill. A graduate of Boys trade, Mark went on to be a toolmaker by trade for many years at David Clark, Wyman Gordan and Kennedy Die Castings. It was well known that Mark was the one that you could always call and could fix next to anything.
Calling hours will be held for Mark on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until his Memorial Service at 7:00p.m. in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s memory to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
