After a courageous battle with Leukemia, we are saddened to announce the passing of Patricia A. "Patty" (Burke) Boisseau, 65, of Worcester, on December 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Pittsfield on March 4, 1960, Patty was the daughter of the late Paul and Jacqueline (McGuirk) Burke. Patty was a graduate of North High School in Worcester. After graduating high school, Patty went on to work at National Envelope for 26 years, then for 10 years at Quantix.
Patty was passionate about supporting the home sports teams, particularly the Patriots and Red Sox. She enjoyed her weekly visits with her longtime friend of 40 years, Jeannie. She also enjoyed apple, strawberry and blueberry picking with her family.
Patty is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Phillip W. Boisseau, Jr. of Worcester; her loving daughter, Shauna Hickey and her husband Timothy of Oxford; her adored grandchildren, Kyle, Braydon, and Jasmine; her dear siblings, Michael Burke and his wife Christine, and Theresa Burke, her “adopted second daughter” Valerie Ruddock; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There are no words that can capture how much Patty will be missed. She showed incredible strength and grace throughout her battle with Leukemia. While her physical presence is no longer with us, her memory will continue to live on in everyone who ever met her.
A period of calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 13th, in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, from 8:30am to 10:00am. A Funeral Mass will be held for Patty on Saturday, December 13th at 11:00am, at St. Joseph's Church, 10 H Putnam Road Extension, Charlton. Interment will be held at a later date.
