His mother, Betty Williams Franzell; son, Dennis Paul Alvey; sister, Sue O'Keefe and his brother, Billy Franzell preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 47 years, Zetta R. Barbee; grandsons, Dylan James Alvey and Garrett Keeling; siblings, Carol, Jeff and Steve and a host of other dear family and friends.
Memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of his service at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
