It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Bittner, who left us on March 23, 2025, in Depew, NY. Mark was a cherished fiancé of Jennifer Wascak, a bond that brought joy and warmth to their lives together.
For many years, Mark dedicated himself to his work as a Merchant Marine Engineer, most recently with Dan Marine Towing in Baltimore, MD. He also spent time working locally at Niagara Refining and Lancaster Knives. He had a very strong work ethic and loved new opportunities and challenging himself to learn something new. He was always quickly promoted and so humble about his achievements.
However, Mark's favorite place was home. He managed the household. He was an early riser and got moving and cleaning right away. He loved cooking. He adored his family and loved spoiling them, Jennifer & their two beloved dogs - Luna and Leo. He spent most of his free time with his family.
One of Mark's favorite things was watching the Buffalo Bills play. He was a huge fan with high expectations. One of his few regrets was not getting to see the new stadium. Every game day was a very special occasion. His first date with Jennifer was sushi dinner and a Bills vs Jets game. The Bills won! They were devoted to each other from that day forward.
In honor of his remarkable life, a Celebration of Life will be held on May 23rd from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd, Depew, NY. Following the gathering, a service will commence at 11:00 AM, providing an opportunity for all who loved him to share their memories and celebrate the man he was.
Mark will receive Military Honors as he is laid to rest at WNY National Cemetery in Corfu, NY, at 1:00 PM. His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him, and his nurturing spirit will be deeply missed.
