Mark Robert Bos

Mark Robert Bos, age 60 of Commerce, Michigan, passed away on February 17th, 2022 peacefully at home after a year long battle with a cancer as rare as the man himself. The strength, dignity, and humor he maintained throughout his diagnosis and final year is a true testament to his larger than life, legendary character. Mark was a devoted husband, supportive father, loving Cappy to his grandchildren, admirable son, incredible friend, caring boss and all around, a lover of life.
Mark was born to loving parents Dale and Nona Bos in Royal Oak, Michigan. The family moved to Sylvan Lake beginning Mark's early love of the water, which continued throughout his life. Forever carving his own path, Mark graduated high school on his own terms from Waterford Mott High where he met his future wife, Lori. The two of them went on to start their business, Bos Moving and Service, Inc. in 1981.
Lovingly nicknamed "Mr. Fix It" by his family, he could fix anything! Mark may have said he was a jack of all trades, master of none, but those who knew him know he was a master at all he did. His admirable work ethic, wide variety of skills and talents, alongside his incredible charm and charisma helped to provide a beautiful life for his family. But Mark's work life is truly one of the least interesting things about him. His greatest passions were spending time with family and friends, golfing, boating, being up north and unfortunately, the Detroit Lions. His happiest moments were almost always involving one or more of those things, and maybe a Bud Select.
The overwhelming consensus when asking those who loved him what comes to mind when they think of Mark Bos is "life of the party", "someone you just wanted to have around", and "fun loving guy". The legacy he leaves behind can easily be found within the love of his family and friends who adore him beyond measure and will never be able to fill the gaping hole he leaves behind.
Mark is survived by his wife and high school sweet heart, Lori, (married 37 years), his children, Chelsea Woodward (Josh) and Jacob Bos (Ashley), his grandchildren Jackson and Holland Woodward, his mother Nona Bos, and his brothers David Bos (Deborah) and Roger Bos (Chris). He is also survived by his in-laws Judi Newcomb, Aaron and Mary Wright, and Leigh Wright (Jason), nieces, nephews, friends, those who worked with him or for him, neighbors, and acquaintances alike who will remember him fondly. Mark is preceded in death by his father, Dale Bos.
Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Tuesday, February 22nd, 2-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Orchard Lake St. Mary's Shrine Chapel, 3535 Commerce Road, Wednesday, February 23rd at 11am with visiting beginning at 10am.
