Mark Joel Boxman passed away on December 5, 2025 at the age of 75. Born on May 19, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Levittown, PA. Mark attended Penn State University and became a Certified Financial Planner.
Mark was devoted to his wife Donna of 48 years, their marriage was a true love story. He was also a loving father to his two children, Jason and Suzanne Boxman, and granddaughter Evelyn Ritter. Mark was a true friend and caring brother to his sister Rochelle (Shelly) Bousquet.
Mark was a devoted family man and counted as his greatest achievement his children and granddaughter. Anytime he was not creating memories with his wife or working to support his family were spent encouraging his loving children and granddaughter.
He was president of his own employee group benefits and insurance business, Boxman Insurance Group (Executive and Group Benefits) through which he helped countless clients with their insurance needs and financial planning decisions. His clients always knew that they could rely on him to provide valuable and trustworthy information.
Mark was known for being warm, a kind and wonderful listener, and willing to help others. His interests included fly fishing, hiking, sailing and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents David Boxman and Eleanor Boxman. He is survived by his wife, Donna M. Boxman (Newell); sister, Rochelle (Shelly) A. Bousquet; son, Jason A. Boxman; daughter, Suzanne (Jared) E. Boxman; granddaughter, Evelyn B. Ritter.
The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 2107 Liberty St, Durham, NC 27703. Private Service. Masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Helping Hands of Haywood County.
