Mark William Brodie, 66, of Schenectady NY passed away suddenly on December 11, 2025.
Born in Amsterdam on July 14, 1959, He was the Son of the late Mary Cady Brodie and Frederick M Brodie
Mark is survived by two sisters, Ann McGovern of Saratoga Springs, NY and Mary Beth Palmateer (Brian) ofGreenfield Center, NY; three brothers, Rick Brodie (Nancy) of Grand Junction, CO; John Brodie (Cereda) ofAmsterdam, NY and Patrick Brodie (Margaret) of Amsterdam, many nieces and nephews, Daniel, Benjamin, Anthony, Elizabeth, Alexander, Brandon, Olivia, Emily, Mary, John, Sadie, Stella, Amy, Katie and Riley. Aunt Pat of Rochester NY, Aunt Sheila and Uncle Bob of Lake George NY and many cousins.
Throughout Mark’s life he enjoyed motorcycles, boating, woodworking and most of all spending time withfamily and friends, many of whom he considered family. Mark had a great sense of humor, although at any given time those around him may not have agreed about how funny he was, and were happy to let him know.
Mark will be missed by many that loved him.
Mark was predeceased by both of his Parents, sister Amy Cady Brodie and his life partner, of many years, Edith Alois.
A prayer service will take place on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 6:00. Visitation will precede the service from 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm at Riley Mortuary, 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
