David Michael Guyette, 60, of Amsterdam, New York passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Albany Medical Center Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born March 20, 1965 in Amsterdam, NY, the son of the late Michael and Marjorie Marotta.
He attended Amsterdam Schools and graduated from Amsterdam High School in 1984.
He was employed by Russo’s Grill and PNA, both in Amsterdam.
David was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan.
In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his sister Suzanne Marotta.
Survivors include, his sisters, Michele Marotta of Johnstown NY, Sharron (Terry) Mutzel of Rochester, NY, Mary Guyette of Amsterdam and his brothers, Michael (Gail) Marotta of Amsterdam, John Scott (Melissa) Marotta, Ft Mill, South Carolina, Stephen Marotta of Canajoharie, NY and Arthur (Nancy) Guyette of Fultonville, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Riley Mortuary, 110 Division St., Amsterdam, NY. with the The Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dave's family preceding the funeral service on Friday from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m.
