Ronald Reagan McCulley

Ronald Reagan McCulley, 82, of Clute, Texas, passed away on February 13, 2026, in Clute. Born on December 17, 1943, in Freeport, Texas. Ronnie lived a life marked by service to his country, his community and those around him.

Ronnie proudly served in the United States Navy stationed in Point Magu. Following his military service, he built a successful career as an Operations Plant Manager at Schenectady International. His dedication to precision and leadership left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Ronnie found joy in fishing, hunting, and spending his time immersed in nature. These passions reflected his deep appreciation for the land and the traditions that shaped his life. Ronnie was deeply committed to civic engagement. He volunteered for over three decades at the Clute Mosquito Festival – a testament to his enduring love for his hometown. His contributions extended further through roles as County Parks Commissioner and City of Clute Parks Board Member. He also served as Treasurer of the Brazoria County Historical Militia and was an active member and president of the Stephen F. Austin 500, Sons of the Republic of Texas, and the Cradle of Texas Conservancy. Through these affiliations, Ronnie worked to preserve and honor Texas history while fostering community pride.

Ronnie's legacy lives on through his children: Melanie Janis, Michael McCulley, and Kelly Brod; his grandchildren Jacob Brod and Donovan McCulley; and his sisters Anette Goodrum and Kathy Neunefeldt. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Billie McCulley; his parents Edward Blair McCulley and Edna Mae Hudgins; and his brother Larry McCulley.

Ronnie's steadfast dedication to family, community service, and heritage will be remembered with deep respect. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Stephen F. Austin – Munson County Park(Stephen F. Austin Statue) 41885 SH 288 Angleton, TX 77515.
