Mark W. Brosius

DALMATIA - Mark W. "Speedy" Brosius, age 91, of Dalmatia, PA died March 6, 2026, at home. He was born on February 22, 1935 in Rebuck, PA the son of the late Harry Brosius and Helen (Snyder) Brosius.

Mark was married to Marjorie A. (Felmlee) Brosius for 65 years.

Mark was a 1952 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School. He retired as Truck Driver from A. Duie Pyle, of Coatsville with 39 years of service. He finished driving truck in retirement for Coleman's Surplus, Millersburg.

Mark enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1955 to 1958 in the states and Germany. Mark was a member of Lower Mahanoy Fire Company, Lower Mahanoy Historical Society, and the Dalmatia Boat Club. For many years, he served as the President and caretaker for the Rickard's Memorial Cemetery.

After retiring from truck driving, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mark will best be remembered for fixing and modifying just about anything he could get his hands on, rarely meeting a problem he couldn't "improve" with a little creativity. He also enjoyed watching football and NASCAR.

In addition to his wife Marjorie, he is survived by his son Daniel Brosius and his wife Michele, grandchildren Samantha Aurand and her husband Terry, Dustin Brosius, Pierce Brosius and his wife Katherine, Devyn Smith and husband Cody, and Dylan Brosius, great-grandchildren Faye, Lydia, and Holden. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Brosuis and his wife Sylvia, a sister-in-law Alma Brosius, and several nieces and nephews including his nephew, Dale Brosius, and niece, Sharon Gilbert, who held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by a son Steven Brosius, grandson Noah Brosius, and brothers H. Hall, C. Timothy, and Luke Brosius.

The family invites all to attend a celebration of life for Mark on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 1 PM to 3 PM at the IOOF Lodge 4205 St Rt 225, Dornsife, PA. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to: Rickard's Memorial Cemetery, 1199 State Rt. 225 Herndon, PA 17830.
