Mark E. Carson, age 70, died on September 18, 2025, at his home in Clay Center, KS. He was born in Clay Center, KS to Leonard and Margaret (Steadman) Carson, on September 22, 1954. Mark grew up in the Miltonvale area and graduated from Miltonvale High School in 1972. Mark worked the night shift after high school at Hutchinson Mayrath. He married Jo Kurtenbach and to this union Mark and Michele were born. They later divorced. Mark worked for the Clay County Highway Department for over 20 years, when he met Annette (Beckmann) Helms. They were married on August 28, 2004. He then went on to work for Hayden Towers and simultaneously owned Paradise Pools and Carson Flooring. Retirement was not a word in Marks vocabulary. He worked hard, always kept busy and would attempt to tackle anything thrown his way. Mark did enjoy a few hobbies, such as hunting and fishing, working on his jeep and becoming an electronic guru. He enjoyed making slide shows for many events. Marks pride and passion was his family. He loved spending time with all his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Hoss; and sisters, Marlene Tate and Darlene Empson.

Funeral Services: 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, KS
Minister: Pastor Paul Tessaro
Burial: Will take place at a later date
Visitation: Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 4-7 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center
Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Mark Carson Memorial Fund in c/o the funeral home
