Mark Chamblee

Anderson, SC - Mark Eugene Chamblee, 59, of the Public Well community passed away Friday, March 5th, 2021. Continuing the legacy of farming the land that has been in his family since the 1700's, he was the son of the late C.D. Chamblee and Marian Bratcher Chamblee. Upon graduating Westside High School (co '79) he attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He could be seen daily doing what he loved most, riding on his tractor, tending his cows and many other animals, or sitting in the yard on his swing watching over the farm. He will be missed by many friends and farmers of his community.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Mavis Schultz Chamblee of the home; daughters Lauren Chamblee Heaton (Cory) of Chester, Jan Chamblee Martin of Anderson, Wendy Chamblee of Travelers Rest; 5 grandchildren; brother Cary D. Chamblee (Mary Gail) and sister Jennifer C. Renedo (Mike) both of Columbia. Also surviving are step-children Kasandra Wicker (Gerritt) and Markus White (Alicia) along with 6 step-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his father Cebron Daniel "CD" Chamblee of Anderson SC and his brother Timothy D. Chamblee (Elizabeth) of Columbia.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Sullivan-King Mortuary with the Rev. Michael Kinard officiating.
