Mark Anthony Chavera, born on June 22, 1959, passed away on June 22, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. A devoted family man, he exemplified dedication and hard work throughout his life. Mark's love for the outdoors brought him joy and peace, and he cherished moments spent surrounded by nature. He was also fond of Spanish music, finding solace and inspiration in its rhythms and melodies.
Mark is survived by his beloved children: Marc, Shirley, Elizabeth, and Josef. He is also lovingly remembered by his girlfriend of over twenty years, Lupe Rodgers;
siblings, Sylvia, Gloria, and Joseph. His extended family includes cherished nephew Jacob Sr. (Yvonne), his niece Cynthia, his great-nephews Jacob Jr. (Desiree), Jayden, Nikolas, Noah, Davian, and Levi as well as great-nieces Camila, Alexis, and Brenna.
Preceding him in death were his loving parents, James Chavera and Gloria Benitez, whose memories continue to inspire the family.
A graveside service in honor of Mark Anthony Chavera will be held at San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio, Texas. The service is scheduled to begin on June 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM, concluding at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate a life dedicated to love, hard work, and the joys of family and nature.
