Died: July 5, 2025 in Streator, IL
Mark L. Chismarick, 72 of Streator passed away Saturday evening (July 5, 2025) at the OSF Center for Health, Streator.
A visitation will be held Sunday (July 13th) from 12noon until 3PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3PM at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow services.
Mark was born on September 11, 1952, in Streator to Louis and Eleanor (Mehalic) Chismarick. He married Diane Kusnerik on August 7, 1976. She survives.
Also surviving is his daughter Sara (Chris Flowers) Chismarick of Streator grandchildren, Aiden and Addie, sister Lisa Dunning of Streator and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Karen and Mark Reinmann and brother-in-law Bob Dunning.
Mark attended St. Stephen's Grade School and graduated from Woodland High School in 1970 and had attended ICC in Peoria. He retired from Plymouth Tube in 2015. Mark was a life member of the Streator Knights of Columbus.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Mark accomplished many things in his life, but his greatest accomplishment was his family. After almost 50 years together he cherished his love for Diane. From their honeymoon in the Dell's to making a lifetime of memories on Montery Dr. Him and Sara had a father/daughter relationship like no other. Their bond was unbreakable and undeniably the best of it's kind. But no offense to Sara, his bond with his grandkids was much greatest. He was so very proud to be their papa and enjoyed every second with them. He will truly be missed by so many people.
