Mark Edward Cline, Sr.
February 24, 1959 - June 4, 2024
Mark Edward Cline, (65), of Moneta, Virginia, passed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on June 4, 2024, at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
He was born in Pontiac, MI, the first born of Rev. Edward (Ted) A. Cline and Marjorie J. Cline, who went on to serve as missionaries in Southeast Asia. Mark grew up in Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore.
In 1984 Mark married Beverly S. Baxter and together they raised 3 children. Mark worked as a Building Official for the City of Winchester, VA and for Northampton Co., VA, moving to Moneta, VA after he retired. Through the trials of life, Mark learned to put his trust and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ, whom he claimed as his Savior.
Mark is survived by his parents Edward and Marjorie, his two sisters Robin (Ira) Martin, and Janice (Andrew) Gardner, his former wife Beverly Baxter, his three children Melanie (Josh) Glagola, Sandi (Philip) Prokopchak, and Mark Cline Jr, his four grandchildren David, Alexis, Zoey and Viktor, and many nephews and nieces.
Private services will be held.

I am very sorry to read of Mark's death, and I share his family's grief.
I heard of Mark before I knew him; he organized soccer games that my young adult daughter and many others enjoying participating in. I enjoyed knowing him myself when he joined the Beekeepers Guild and embraced this new interest wholeheartedly and skillfully and generously. He was always willing to help others. He gave a very moving testimony of his experiences to a class of new beekeepers. What I'm remembering right now is how he thought up activities for the annual Beekeepers Guild picnic that we still enjoy to this day: the "bee-yard-sale" and the plant exchange. Reading about his childhood as a missionary kid I can now see how he came by this talent for creating engaging activities. May Mark rest in peace and rise in glory.
