Mark Creech, born on July 2, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas, at the age of 78. Mark lived a full life, as evident by his love for his family and friends. Mark had several professions during his life ranging from a car salesman, an electrician, owning a pool company, an entrepreneur, and a truck driver. A proud veteran of the United States Marines serving in the Vietnam war, he carried the values of service and commitment throughout his life.
Mark will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Bobbie Scott; his son, Charles Creech; his granddaughter, Allison Scott; and his grandson, Taylor Creech, brothers Bobby Creech, Charles Creech, and Mike Creech and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He had an insatiable curiosity and a passion for learning, reflected in his love for reading. In addition to his intellectual pursuits, Mark enjoyed sharing his culinary adventures as a self-proclaimed foodie, often delighting friends and family with his explorations of new restaurants and flavors.
An avid lover of music and films, Mark found pleasure in listening to his favorite music and watching movies. He loved to engage in spirited (and we use this term lightly) discussions about world events and happenings. Mark was an excellent artist and loved to draw. It brought him great happiness to draw pictures of family and friend's animals. It warmed his heart to see how much joy it brought to them. He found solace on the golf course, where he cherished the time spent with loved ones. Mark used to bowl regularly and recently rediscovered his passion for it. As we all know he loved his recreational planes (albeit with risk of bodily harm) and soaring in the sky filled his soul with jubilation and created funny memories for us. Above all, Mark had a remarkable gift for making others laugh; his humor and infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mark's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the pursuit of living life to fullest, and he will remain in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come.
Mark was preceded in death by: James Alred Creech (father), Stella Mae Carpenter Creech (mother), Ethel Estella Rollins Creech (a/k/a Granny), Peggy Creech Turner, Patricia Creech Blakely and James Allison Creech (siblings).
The family will be celebrating his life on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America (www.vva.org) or Operation Kindness (www.operationkindness.org).
