Mark Lewis Daniel, born on November 26, 1967, in Oxford, Mississippi, entered eternal rest on October 2, 2024, in Gallatin, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Ginger Daniel, and his sister Sharon Alice Daniel. Mark is survived by his daughter Abby Adell Daniel (Kevin), and his aunt Ellen McDonell (Kevin), as well as many other relatives and friends.
Mark's life was characterized by his immense passion for music. A gifted singer-songwriter and guitarist, he delighted audiences with his music. Throughout the years, he formed many bands, creating not just music, but cherished memories with those he loved, including his sister, with whom he shared a special bond over their musical endeavors. Mark was a true performer in every aspect of his life.
A proud graduate of the Hendersonville High School Class of 1986, Mark furthered his education at Middle Tennessee State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications in 1993. His love for music transcended mere performance; it was a way for him to connect deeply with family and friends. One of his greatest joys was introducing new music to those around him, particularly his daughter, whom he would often refer to as his greatest creation. He took great care to nurture her love for music, gifting her CDs that would shape her taste while encouraging her individuality along the way.
Mark was known for his larger-than-life personality. He had an uncanny ability to make his presence known to any room he entered, bringing laughter and warmth to those fortunate enough to know him. Friends and family will fondly remember his fun-loving, outgoing nature, and his sense of humor that could engage a room full of people for hours. He possessed a big heart, and his capacity for love was boundless.
In lieu of flowers, the family please asks that donations be made to W. O. Smith Music School in memory of Mark.
Visitation for Mark will take place on October 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, both at the Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066. Interment at the Gallatin City Cemetery to be held at a later date.
