Mark Robert Degnan, Sr, of Farragut, TN passed away June 3, 2025 at his home. Mark was born on February 24, 1954 in Chicago, IL.
He was owner and CEO of Mastermelt America. He began his precious metals career by assisting area hospitals with reclaiming silver from x-ray film. From there, he went to PGP, which later became Heraeus. There he rose to Senior Vice President. Ever ambitious as he was, he founded Matermelt America in 2006 and grew it from a 10,000 sq ft building multisite giant slayer. He was a member of the International Precious Metal Institute, and the Fox Den Country Club. He achieved the TN Green Star Partnership Award and the TN Governor's Award for Excellence. Mark loved boating, cars and golf.
He is preceded in death by parents, Jack F. Degnan & Beverly (Craddock) Degnan; brother, Jack Degnan and sister-in-law, Robin (Blosky) Degnan; brother, Tim Degnan and sister-in-law, Krissy (Poole) Degnan.
He is survived by his wife, Heidi Marie Degnan; children, Mark (Anna) Degnan, Lindy Degnan Harris (Chris Harris), Kyler (Amber) Tatman, Kylie Tatman Sims (Cody Sims), and Keefer Tatman; grandchildren Jillian Degnan, Aidan Degnan, Sydney Harris, Seneca Harris, CiCi Harris, Liam Sims, and Banks Sims; sister-in-law Michelle Degnan; brother-in-law, Rob (Julie) Keefer.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Click Funeral Home – Farragut Chapel with a service to follow at 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Lenoir City, TN on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 12:00 pm.
