Here at the lab, Mark was one of those guys who always did whatever he could to help you out when you needed it. I don't think I ever saw him mad, just always with a positive perspective. He came and went over the years from here. It was always sad to see him go, and great to see him back! We were all lucky to have him on our team.

Mark, Thank You, for all the things you did for the projects I was associated with, and for really caring about it, and for what you did for the whole place. I was also an ATM fan (still am). It really sucks to have you gone. Best of luck at your newest gig...

When I started the journey that is my career today... I found two great mentors to help teach me & guide me through establishing myself and figuring out what I wanted to do for a living. I started out learning systems from Doug, then security from Mark. I would build systems under Doug's watchful eye, then Mark would hack it open and leave me notes in the MOTD (message of the day) file... Then they would show me what I did wrong, how a Hacker could exploit it and then how to fix it right - so it could not be exploited again.

We lost Doug several years ago, and now Mark has gone to join him... We played many games together and so many pranks on each other...
My friend, teacher, mentor and advisor... I have told stories about you and your exploits to just about every class I've taught. I am sad that there will be no new stories, you will be missed...
