Mark Ferguson, 61, of Marlette lost his battle to cancer on Monday, July 28, 2025 at his home.

Mark was born October 11, 1963, in Mt. Clemens to the late Robert and Lulu (Ackerson) Ferguson. He grew up and graduated from Brown City High School. Mark was a contractor and owned Ferguson Builders, however, his true calling was farming and spending time on the tractors. Mark enjoyed playing cards, collecting Case International toy tractors, and watching sports especially NASCAR and the Baltimore Ravens football team. Mark had a passion for classic cars and trucks, especially Chevrolet. His favorite movie was Titanic and he could watch it over and over. Mark loved his children and granddaughter. He had a standing date on Wednesday nights to play pool leagues with his daughter and son-in-law. He was a very funny man and was always good for a laugh. Mark will be sincerely missed.

Mark is survived by his children, Cadie Ferguson and Marissa (Shawn) Johnston; granddaughter, Lily LaRue; siblings, Connie Ferguson, Janet Gram Bell, Chuck Ferguson and Mike Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Diane Lindquist, Mitchell Ferguson, Bob Ferguson and Carol Sue Knust.

The family will receive visitors from 3-8 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2025 and from 10-11 AM on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Marsh Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Marsh Funeral Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the family discretionary fund in care of Marissa Johnston or Cadie Ferguson.
