Mark Fiorina Obituary

Visit the Billow's Funeral Homes & Crematory - Fairlawn Chapel website to view the full obituary.

Mark James Fiorina, age 75, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025. Born on November 17, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, Mark lived a life defined by service, devotion, and laughter.

A proud veteran, Mark served honorably as a Boatswain’s Mate in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ranger during the Vietnam conflict. Known by his shipmates as “Boats,” he embodied the grit, discipline, and camaraderie that characterized his role and left a lasting impression on those who served with him.

Upon his return from the military, Mark was a dedicated worker for several large companies in the Akron/Cleveland area. His success in the Credit & Collections field was attributed to the strong, loyal customer relationships he developed with key clients.

Mark married his soulmate, Maureen, in 1995, and they lived in Akron, Ohio until his passing. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Morgan, in 1996. The family was dedicated to their Catholic faith where Mark was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. He brought the same sense of duty and generosity to his community that he displayed during his military service.

Quick with a smile and a laugh, Mark’s warmth and humor could brighten any room. He especially cherished time spent with “his girls” — his beloved wife Maureen and daughter Morgan — the lights of his life. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Mark loved watching football and was a big Ohio State fan. He was always up for a competitive ping-pong match with a family member or friend. His playful spirit, deep loyalty, and kind heart will be missed beyond measure.

Mark is survived by his devoted wife, Maureen; loving daughter, Morgan; sister, Cheryl Maschke; step-sister, Cherese Fiorina (Todd Maurer); niece, Shannon Castiglione (Mike), nephews, Anthony Gresko (Briana), Dr. Nick Maurer, and Scott Maurer, niece, Lindsey Maurer; and great-nephew, Shawn Castiglione.

He was preceded in death by his father, James J. Fiorina, mother, Dorothy Fiorina (née Tittle); stepmother, Sharon Fiorina (née Paul); and nephew, Shawn Maschke.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on WEDNESDAY, September 17, 2025, at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 West Market St., Fairlawn, OH 44333. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Mark's memory to the Louis Stokes Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, at this website ttps://www.cdceportal.va.gov/donate_at_facility/ or use the QR code below.
