Mark Geszvain Obituary
He was born on March 4, 1964, in Oconomowoc, WI, to David and Jean (nee Malone) Geszvain. He grew up with his sister Karen and brothers Michael, John, Patrick, and Matthew in Monterey, WI.
Ever the rambunctious and rebellious child, Mark learned how to play piano and violin by ear. He enjoyed working on the farm and being outside. He proudly served in the United States Army for a short time before being honorably discharged due to an injury. He then volunteered at the Ashippun Fire Department for many years.
He met his wife, Alicia (nee Dornacker) in West Bend, WI. They got married on September 5, 1987, and made a life together in West Bend. They had three children, Alyssa, Ryan and Tyler and three grandchildren, Breanna, Gauge, and Brantley.
He is survived by his children, Alyssa (Zach) Stire, Ryan and Tyler Geszvain; grandchildren, Gauge and Brantley Geszvain, Breanna King; parents, David and Jean Geszvain; siblings, Micheal, John, Karen, Patrick, and Matthew Geszvain; Nieces, Katlyn, Ashley, Abbigail, Madison, Gabriela, Allsion Geszvain, Miranda (Bryan) Milligan; Nephews, Dillion (Alisson) Durnford, Andrew, Joseph, Luke Geszvain; Aunts, Grace (Lary "Pokey") Fochs and Phyllis Whelan; cousins, Ian and Corey Fochs, Danny and Lynn Hess, Andrea Roth, and Beckey Christianson.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Andy (Anita) Geszvain, Willie (Viola) Malone; father-in-law, Mathias Dornacker; cousin, David Hess.
Celebration of Life for Mark will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027). Family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. until the start of service and military honors at 7:45 p.m.
