LaVern Marion Schulz

LaVern Marion Schulz, age 92, of Rubicon, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

LaVern was born on March 21, 1933, at the family farm in Rubicon to Carl and Esther (née Falkenstein) Wittenburg. She was united in marriage to Glenn Schulz on June 14, 1952, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford.

LaVern devoted her life to caring for her family as a dedicated homemaker, and later found immense joy in caring for her grandchildren. She also had a special place in her heart for cats, which brought her much comfort and companionship throughout the years.

LaVern is lovingly survived by her children, Linda (Terry) Mergenthaler, Perry (Candace) Schulz, and Fay (Jeff) Neu; her cherished grandchildren: Brandy (Jeff) Fliss, Glenn (Kristin), Timothy, Angela, Jennifer, Michelle (Andy) Moody, and Michael Neu; her treasured great-grandchildren: Forrest, Bailey (Sarah), Dayanna, Austin, Dustin, Dayandan, Dayanarra, Pyper, Gage, Dexter, Malkia, Brantley, Evy, and Calvin; and her great-great-grandchildren, Jackson and Emberly. She is further survived by her sisters, Joann Montadue and Jasmine Fine, along with other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Glenn Schulz; her parents, Carl and Esther Wittenburg; sister, Sandie (George) Schauer; nephew, David Schulz; and her great granddaughter, Carlene Schulz.

Graveside services for LaVern will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford, Wisconsin. A Celebration of Life will follow at St. Matthew's Church in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin at 12:00 p.m.

Rev. Nathan Schulte and Rev. Jonathan Loescher will be officiating.
