Carolyn Angeline Scheerer

Carolyn A. Scheerer, age 85, of Hartford, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Wellington Place.

Carolyn was born on August 19, 1940, in Hartford to George and Dorothy (nee Lackas) O'Connor. She was united in marriage to Vincent L. Scheerer, with whom she shared many cherished years.

Carolyn dedicated much of her life to her work as a hairdresser in Hartford and was the proud owner of Salon Chalet Coiffures for a time.

A gifted and generous crafter, Carolyn found great joy in crocheting and knitting. She lovingly created countless blankets and handmade gifts for her family and friends, often sharing her creations for birthdays and special occasions. Reading was another of her favorite pastimes, and she especially looked forward each week to enjoying the Sunday paper.

Carolyn is lovingly survived by her son, Paul V. (Cielo Lazo Quiroga) Scheerer; her grandsons, Vincent H. Scheerer and Steven D. Scheerer; her sister, Patricia O'Connor; her nephews, Ed O'Connor and Michael O'Connor; her nieces, Kim O'Connor and Annette Talis; as well as other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vincent Scheerer; her parents, George and Dorothy O'Connor; and her siblings, Mary Schwalbe and Gerome O'Connor.

A graveside service for Carolyn will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church Cemetery, with Rev. Andrew Linn officiating.
