Nancy Lee (Quick) Scheerer, 87, of Fayetteville, Tennessee passed away at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida on December 21, 2025 following a brief illness. Born in Bronx, NY August 18, 1938, Nancy was married for 59 years to her husband, Bill, prior to his passing in 2020. The couple raised their two children while growing the family business, Quick Filter Manufacturing. Nancy loved to make people happy and her passion to serve others continued in retirement when she and Bill teamed up to sell Amish wood products, candied nuts, pretzels, jams and jellies to friends and neighbors. Together they attended and enjoyed worshipping at Prospect Baptist Church until Nancy moved to Florida in 2020. Along with her dog and faithful companion, Dolly (named for Dolly Parton), she moved to be closer to her son and grandchildren during the last five years of her life. In addition to her late husband Bill, Nancy is preceded in death by her brother, Nelson Quick, and sister, Linda Quick Brown. Survivors include her son William (Bill) Scheerer of Jacksonville, daughter, Beth Scheerer of Cullman, Alabama; and grandchildren Kyler and Zoie Scheerer of Jacksonville and Kimberlee Kinney Gates (Isaac) of Taft, Tennessee and great-granddaughter, Gracelyn. Funeral services will be held on January 10th, 2026 at 1pm at Prospect Baptist Church, 32 East Prospect Road, in Fayetteville, Tennessee with Brother Ronnie Gay officiating.
