Robert J. Breitkreutz III

Robert J. Breitkreutz III, age 78, of Hartford, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Robert was born on May 28, 1947, in Hartford to Robert Breitkreutz II and Doris (née Krentz). He graduated from Hartford High School with the Class of 1965. In November of 1966, he was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country until 1968. Following his military service, Robert worked as a skilled Tool & Die Maker for Chrysler Outboard for several years.

Robert found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, trap shooting, and playing cards, and gambling. Robert was a true jokester who loved making others smile. He treasured his lifelong friendships and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is lovingly survived by his fiancée, Marlys Fiedler; his son, Robert (Tina) Breitkreutz IV; and many dear and cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Breitkreutz II.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford). Family and friends may gather from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 12:00 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
