Mildred "Millie" Breitkreutz

Mildred "Millie" L. Breitkreutz (née Roets) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the age of 96.
Millie was born on January 17, 1929, in Hillsdale, Wisconsin, to parents Arthur and Margaret (née Verbeck) Roets. On September 9, 1950, she was united in marriage to Donald Breitkreutz and were married for 70 years until his death in 2021.
Together, Millie and Donald ran a beer depot and gas station in Hartford for several years before owning and operating Shrimp and Millie's Sandbar Tavern for more than two decades. She cherished spending time at her cottage on Sandy Lake in Neshkoro, Wisconsin, where she made countless memories with family and friends.
Millie will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need, especially her neighbors. She had a love for gardening and found her greatest joy in time spent with her family.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Mark) Jambura, Mary (Perry) Rainey, and Kathy (Michael) Zurn; grandchildren, Jeff (Tiffany) Hader and Kelly (Jared) Smith; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon Hader, Parker, Teaghan, Taleighah, and Kambri Smith.
Memorial contributions in Millie's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
