Jonathan W. Breitkreutz, 38 of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville surrounded by his family.
Jon was born on August 30, 1985, in Watertown, WI, the son of Bill and Beth (Reuterskiold) Breitkreutz. He grew up in Jefferson and graduated from Jefferson High School in 2003. After high school, Jon began working. He was employed in the area as a concrete laborer, a roofer, and as an autobody technician. His work ethic, pride in his work, and ability to learn new skills quickly kept him very employable. An avid fisherman, Jon enjoyed spending time on many bodies of water and enjoyed being outdoors, especially walking on the beach when visiting his dad. He was a collector and enjoyed the thrill of searching for treasures to keep or resell. Jon was loved dearly by many. He was terrific with children and was always willing to help those in need. Jon will continue to live on through his gift as an organ doner.
He is survived by: his father Bill Breitkreutz; step-mother Cynthia (Freddie) Hall; daughter Nattalee Darting; sisters Heather (Steve) Chady and Anastacia (Corey) Breitkreutz; nieces, a nephew, aunt, uncles, several cousins and many friends.
Jon is preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Shirley Reuterskiold and Bill and Delores Breitkreutz, his mother Beth Sponem in 2001, and his stepfather Ted Sponem.
Jon will be laid to rest in the family plot of Albian Prairie Cemetery in Edgerton during a private family service.
