Mark A. Green, age 63, of LaGrange, passed away on November 4, 2024. He was born on February 17, 1961 to the late Herbert Wright Green and Julene Evelyn "Johnnie" Johnson Green in LaGrange, Georgia. He was the Maintenance Mechanic Leader at Duracell, where he dedicated over 25 years of service before retiring in 2021.
Mark's passions included the great outdoors, particularly hunting, and attending his yard and garden. He loved cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs every football game and spending time with his family.
A devoted member of the New Unity Church in Valley, AL, Mark was a beloved figure within the community. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Donna Hubbard Green; children, Jeremy Green (Shevie), Ashlan Ludden (Lanny), Chris Arnett (Lindsay), and Dewayne Arnett (Sami); siblings, David Green (Janice) and Randy Green (Andrea); ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; canine companion, Oscar; extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. A memorial service will begin at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Derek Hubbard officiating. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in memory of Mark Green to a charity of your choice.
A small memorial service will also be held at the New Unity Church in Valley, AL on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 4:00 p.m., following a family dinner.
