Mark Timothy Green

Mark Timothy Green, 57, of Hayes, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025. Born on December 27th, 1967, Mark was a devoted waterman who found joy and purpose on the water. Whether navigating the creek or fishing with his family, he cherished every moment spent on his boat. Mark had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He could often be found cutting grass, watching birds, or playfully chasing squirrels away from his beloved pecan trees. His love for nature and simple pleasures brought happiness to those around him. Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Margaret Green; and father, Thomas Green. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Christy; daughters, Amanda Green and Jackie Zawodny (Chris); grandsons, Alijah and Aziah; mother, Barbara Green (Richard); sisters, Theresa Montroy (Chris) and Brenda Gibson; brother, Brian Green; half-sisters, Tammy (Michael), Michelle, April, and Shelby; many cousins, nephews, and nieces and his faithful canine Skippy. Services to honor Mark's life will be held at Hogg Funeral Home. A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 pm. Funeral services officiated by Pastor Bill West, will be held at Hogg Funeral Home on Friday, January 31st, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family kindly requests that contributions be made in Mark's memory to a charity of your choice.
