Mark Leonard Harper

Mr. Mark Leonard Harper, 67, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in the Chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA, with Rev. David Chapman officiating. Burial will follow the service in Tazewell Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 4:00-6:00PM.

Mr. Harper was born in Mobile, AL, on March 12, 1957, to Leonard Dean and Barbara Ann Holcombe Harper. He retired from Bluebird where he worked as a CNC Operator.  Baptist by faith, Mr. Harper loved his family, especially his son and two granddaughters. He was very skilled and talented at wood carving. Mr. Harper was a diehard Alabama Football fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Harper of Mauk, GA; by a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Allison Harper of Clermont, GA; two granddaughters, Emily Harper and Ashlyn Harper; and a sister and brother-in-law, Jeanie and Denny Gaskin of Evergreen, AL. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

Way-Watson Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, Georgia has been entrusted with these arrangements.
