It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Hughes on December 9, 2024, at the age of 66. Mark was born on December 10, 1957 in Benton, IL., to Michael and Irene.

Mark met the love of his life and beloved wife of 48 years, Debra Haley in Tinley Park, IL. Mark and Debra went on to have one son, Jeremiah Hughes. Mark is best known for his quick wit, joyful nature, an ever present sense of humor, and unwavering love and support for his family. 

Mark worked as a Salesman for Beatty Lumber Company in IL for 32 years where he received numerous awards for being the top annual sales representative. Mark enjoyed golfing, camping, being outdoors, taking naps on the couch with the dog, but most important to him was spending time with family and friends.

Preceded in joining the Lord: Father, Michael Hughes; Step-Father Johnny Middleton; Mother and Father-in-law Mary Ann and John Haley.

Survived by: wife Debra Hughes; son Jeremiah and Thresa (Green) Hughes; beloved granddaughter MacKenna Hughes; mother Irene Middleton; brother Alan Hughes; sister Debbie Kowalik; along with several loving nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services are under the direction of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home, in Belton, TX
