Mark J. Jester, 45, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, April 22, in Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Hospital.
Born October 25, 1976, he was a son of Montrue "Monty" (Platan) and Daniel J. Jester of Salisbury.
Mark attended Bennett High School. He was a self-taught carpenter specializing in flooring. Mark was employed by Mark Shipley Construction.
He particularly enjoyed spending time with his oldest daughter Katie J. Mark also enjoyed fishing, camping, watching movies and listening to music.
Mark was always willing to help others
Surviving in addition to his parents are two daughters, Katelyn "Katie" and Courtney Jester, a brother, Bill Jester, paternal grandmother, Ruth Platan, a grandson, Adonis, and his fiancée, Carrie Toomey all of Salisbury, five nieces and nephews and two cousins. He was predeceased by his fraternal grandparents Helen Gaskins and James Jester and his maternal grandfather William Platan.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-7 pm in Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury. Burial will be at Cape Charles Cemetery, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hudson Behavioral Health via their website hudsonhealth.org.
