It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paula Howard Lambertson, who left us on July 12, 2025, just days shy of her 78th birthday. Born on July 17, 1947, she was the daughter of the late John Howard II and Ruth Ward Howard. Paula spent her life dedicated to caring for others, both in her personal life and in her profession as a nurse.
Paula graduated from Snow Hill High School and pursued a fulfilling career in the medical field. Her journey began on the family farm and then led her to work at Dr. Paul Fleury's office and, notably, in the ER as a phlebotomist. Paula's commitment to helping others extended beyond her nursing career; she proudly served as a member of the Stockton Fire Department from 1969 until 1982, where she was a firefighter, EMT, and CRT.
Paula was a devoted and wonderful wife to her husband, Bruce Lambertson, and a loving mother to her son, Mark Lambertson (Catana). She found joy in her role as a grandmother, known as Grummy, to Bailey Nicole and Erin Grace Lambertson, with whom she shared a special bond and countless cherished moments. Paula's warmth and kindness will be dearly missed by her sisters, Pamela Howard, Joyce Feetham, Jackie Elliott, and her brother John Howard III.
Paula had a heart of gold, and she loved everything and everyone around her. Her passions included fishing, watching hummingbirds, and tending to her beautiful flowers. She had a deep love for all animals, which she expressed through her unwavering support of the SPCA and Community Cats Coalition.
A Celebration of Life for Paula will be held at Stockton Fire Hall on Sunday, July 27, 2025, beginning at 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Cats Coalition, P.O. Box 1761, Berlin, MD 21811, in Paula's honor, reflecting her lifelong commitment to animals and community service.
Rest in peace, Paula. Your love and spirit will forever shine in our hearts.
