Donna Raye Adkins (Mister), 78, of Pocomoke City, passed away at Bay Harbor Rehabilitation Center located in Salisbury, Maryland, in the presence of her loving family, Sunday, October 5, 2025. Born on April 21, 1947, in Accomack County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Armond and Mary Mister of Saxis, Virginia.

Mrs. Adkins attended Atlantic High School (currently Arcadia High School) located in Oak Hall, Virginia. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Adkins was a member of the Crabtown Cruisers with a 57 Chevy that was rebuilt by her husband, William "Bill" Adkins. She worked for many years in the hospitality industry.

She is lovingly remembered by her six children, Angie Unkart (Eric) of Berlin, MD; April Payne (Tim) of Pocomoke, MD; Sheryl Maiello (John) of Wynantskill, New York; Sherry Adkins (David) of Salisbury, MD; Terri Snowden (Wayne) of Frankford, DE, and Michael Adkins of Bethany Beach, DE. Her memory will be cherished by her eleven grandchildren: Shelby Tomlinson (Dean), Jordon Gillis; Colby Payne (Abby); Sydney Shiflet, Bradley Shiflet (Rebecca); Madison Hancock; Andrea Meyer (Robert), Phil Tyre (Natalie), Karen Chrzanowski (Mike), Taylor Adkins (Barrett) and Jessica Kuhn. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren: Parker Shiflet, Paxton Shiflet, Sawyer Shiflet, Winston Shiflet, Blake Meyer, Amelia Meyer, Claire Meyer, Drake Meyer, Annabel Tyre, Jude Tyre, Ben Tyre, Cole Bedell, Chase Chrzanowski, Ava Kuhn, and Aubree Quebral.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Bill" Adkins, and their son, Billy Adkins.

A service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, Maryland, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Pastor Donnie Bailey will officiate. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery in Pocomoke City, MD.
