RENSSELAER - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Edward Jubrey, 49, on November 12, 2024, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Albany, N.Y., on April 24, 1975, Mark was predeceased by his parents, Edward Jubrey Sr. and Shirley Ann Maher; and his siblings, Kathleen and Eddie Jubrey. He is now reunited with his beloved mother, Shirley, who passed earlier this year.
A devoted family man and proud owner of Jubrey Contracting, Mark was known for his generosity, kindness, and willingness to help others. He was a cherished husband to Colleen; loving father to Samantha, Andrew, Markus, and Harli; and a proud Papa to his grandchildren, Rylee, Augustino, Tatum, and Ameliana. Mark is also survived by his sisters, Krystal Jubrey, Kandie Antonetti, Karen Jubrey, Karla (Marty) Roll, Kim Sheldon; and his brothers, Michael Sr. (Barbara) Jubrey, Stephen Jubrey, Brian (Anne) Jubrey, and John (Kim) Jubrey; along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff at Samaritan Hospital, as well as Mark's sisters Kim and Kandie and nephew Charlie, for their unwavering support during this difficult time. Mark's legacy of love, generosity, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with Mark's family on Monday, November 18, at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, from 4-7 p.m. Mark's funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Following the service interment next to his mother will be in New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush.
