Mark Kleinhans, age 77, of Plymouth, passed away on July 26, 2022, peacefully surrounded by family.
He was born on March 18, 1945 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Wallace and Cora (Kalk) Kleinhans.
Mark attended Acorn Elementary School and Plymouth High School and graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Agriculture. On April 26, 1968, he married Linda Mae.
Mark was an entrepreneur from a young age. While working on the family farm, he found a piece of gold in the cow pasture which initiated the start of his coin business, the Coin Farm. During the winters when farming was slower, Mark would build a spec house, this eventually turned into a full-time business, Kleinhans Construction. Mark developed many subdivisions around Plymouth, in addition to renovating Victorian homes back to their glory. He took an interest in restoring Plymouth's downtown in addition to creating new businesses in the process. Mark and his wife Linda owned the Plymouth Cheese Counter, Antoinette's and Antonio's, The Plymouth Inn, just to name a few. Later in life Mark worked as a realtor for Pleasant View Realty.
Mark was a Sheboygan County Fair Board Member for many years. He enjoyed coin collecting, antique collecting, dart ball, and watching his grandchildren's sports and activities.
He is survived by: His loving wife: Linda; Three daughters: Brenda (Chris) Dale of Plymouth, Dena (Michael) Budrecki of Elkhart Lake, and Heather (Bill) Sunagel of Plymouth; Son: Tate (Jackie) Kleinhans of Elkhart Lake; Grandchildren: Mason and Bennet Dale, Tyler, Hazel and Asher Sunagel, Boden and Afina Budrecki, and Cylus Kleinhans; Sister: Faye (Jim) Hughes; Brother: Wade (Gail) Kleinhans; In-laws: Linda Kleinhans, Monica Kleinhans, Al (Mona) Rittenhouse, and Gladney Smith "Uncle Bud."
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents: Wallace and Cora Kleinhans, and brothers: Kurt and Reed Kleinhans.
The family would like to thank Sheboygan Senior Community for their amazing care and support in his final days.
Following Mark's wishes cremation has taken place and the family will have a private celebration of his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Plymouth Education Foundation or Sheboygan Senior Community.
