Mark Thomas Lawrence, 65, of Bessemer City passed away on January 2, 2026, at Caromont Regional. He was born on January 15, 1960, to the late Clifford Lawrence and Robbie Tomberlin Lawrence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford & Robbie Lawrence, brothers, Johnny Lawrence, and Frankie Lawrence.
Mark was of the Church of God faith. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering for the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed camping.
Those left to cherish his memory include brother, Charles Lawrence (Gloria) of Gastonia, sisters, Teresa Lawrence (Harry Monroe) of Bessemer City, and Vickie Owens (James) of Newton, North Carolina, and he was a special friend of the Bryson family.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:45 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.
Mark’s funeral will follow at 1:00 pm with Scotty and Jeff Bryson officiating.
Interment will be at Westview Gardens Cemetery.
