Mark Lebow Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 24, 2026.
Mark Steven Lebow, born January 3, 1958, and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, left us on February 17th, 2026, surrounded by love and dignity, in hospice in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Mark was a surveyor, land use consultant and firm manager in a career that spanned more than forty years at the Connecticut firms of Redniss & Mead in Stamford, and William Seymour & Associates in Darien. His dedication, integrity, and expertise left a lasting impact on clients, builders, local government officials and everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

Until his final days, Mark engaged in many of his passions; skiing (on snow and water), long distance motorcycle trips with his crew, karaoke with his wife. He was a fine cook, enjoyed a cocktail and had a dry wit that you had to listen for. Playing music was perhaps his greatest passion. For over fifty-five years, he was a sought-after drummer and percussionist, performing with several bands for live audiences and in the studio. Mark also sang, played other instruments and even dabbled in acting.

Most importantly, Mark had many friends and was loved by all who got to know him. A kind and giving person, Mark was always ready to help. He had a wide and deep reservoir of knowledge and expertise that he was ready to apply to help solve almost any problem. In the end though, the highest accolade people would pay to Mark was "He's such a good guy."

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Carroll; his sisters, Lyn Solinas (Mike) of West Virginia and Rachel Drucker of Stamford Connecticut; nephews Adam and Jason Solinas, and two grandnephews, Jameson and Layne. Also, his stepdaughter Terry At, and three beautiful grandchildren; Nicholas, Jacob and Electra, all in Florida.

He was predeceased by his father, Irving Lebow; his mother, Libby Miller; and his stepmother, Nettie Lebow.

It's requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Lustgarten Foundation (lustgarten.org) would be appreciated.

A gathering to celebrate Mark's life will be held from 4 to 7PM, April 8th, at Pellicci's Restaurant on Stillwater Avenue in Stamford, Connecticut, where family and friends are invited to come and share wonderful memories of this unassuming but remarkable man.

Sending love and sympathy to Debbie and sister Rachel, and to all family and friends who were graced by Mark's presence in their lives. Fond memories of annual Passover seders as Mark and Irv became part of the "Bloom" clan and Mark grew up among us. His presence, even as a teen, was always respectful, quietly intelligent, and understatedly funny. Rest in love and peace, cousin Mark.
