Mark Anthony Madru, 65, of Grove City, PA, passed away on June 18, 2025 after a short fight with cancer.
Born on January 6, 1960, in Bethpage, NY, Mark was the beloved son of the late Dolores Beaudry and Joseph Madru.
As a young adult, Mark developed a love of boxing and proudly competed for Golden Gloves in New York City. His early career was a Pipefitter/Welder building ships for the US Navy in Maine. Later in life, Mark achieved his chaplaincy and volunteered his time by ministering to inmates in Pennsylvania.
Mark found joy in fishing, cooking, watching his favorite New York sports teams (the Mets, Jets, Rangers, and Knicks), and cheering on his sons at countless sporting events over the years. Anyone who met Mark knew he could easily strike up a conversation.
Mark is survived by his children, Greg (Leah) Madru and Joshua Madru, and by his cherished grandchildren, Rowan and Lucas Madru. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Laurie (Schermerhorn) Madru, by his half-siblings, Joseph, Brian, Pamela, Sherry, and Kimberly, and by his best friends, Justin and Donald.

My dad and Mark´s dad were brothers, always close through their lives. Joey and Lou didn´t get to spend much time together when Mark and I were young, but I have a few memories of him. I had always hoped we could have a family reunion and meet again. Rest in peace, my cousin, gone too soon.
