Mark A. Magoc

1955 - 2025

Mark A. "Hanes" Magoc, 70, of Tarentum, passed away at home on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 6, 1955, in Harrison Township, to the late John and Justine (Lisko) Magoc. Mark lived his entire life in Tarentum and was an electrician for Pittsburgh Corning Corporation, Plum Boro, for 40 years. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights, Tarentum Jednota, and a life member of Summit Hose #3 Fire Department for 50 years, where he was very involved as well in community services. Mark graduated from Highlands High School in 1973 and was a Pittsburgh sports fan. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Alice M. (Brown) Magoc; and his children, Robin M. Magoc of Tarentum, Mark P. (Nichole) Magoc of Tarentum, Amber (Paul) Berzonski of Arnold, and Victoria A. Magoc of Tarentum. Also surviving are many grandchildren; and his sisters, Paula (Frank) Leipertz of Lafayette, IN, and Phyllis (Edward) Meier of Lower Burrell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Magoc.
